After fifteen years away, Emma Shaw was back in Brightwood, trying to make amends with the events that led to her exile. But life threw her a curveball when she came face to face with the man responsible for her departure. Damian Saunders wasn’t the same teenage boy who broke Emma’s heart all those years ago. Now he was the homicide detective in charge of the attempted murder case Emma became the hero of. 

 

Fifteen years weren’t enough for Damian to forget that Emma tried to kill him, and as a man of the law, he now had the power and resources to put her behind bars. Damian believes she was a criminal, but arresting his best friend’s sister seemed like more trouble than it’s worth. So he promised Caleb, Emma’s twin brother, that he would let it go, but that proved to be more difficult than he thought.

 

After confronting Emma, Damian discovered that there was more to the story than he realized and an old desire for their past romance reemerged. Now they have to make a decision. Should they give themselves a second chance at love or continue holding on to the old grudge that made them both feel broken?
